As previously mentioned, we have never heard of a Portable Outlet CPAP Battery being confiscated by airline or airport staff. If it ever happens, while the Federal Aviation Administration 160 Watt Lithium Ion battery rules from May 31, 2018 are in place, we will replace it for free* *Some restrictions apply. 1) We will need information to validate any claim made by a Portable Outlet owner.
2) We would need a copy of your receipt of your Portable Outlet purchase. An electronic, photocopy or faxed copy will work. Since there is a one year warranty on the Portable Outlet, our Airline Replacement Guarantee will be honored within one year (365 Days) from the date of original purchase. Any claims made beyond one year will not be honored.
3) We would need the name of the airport or airline staff who confiscated your Portable Outlet. Please get their company identification and phone number to contact those involved so we can verify any claims, as well as any incident reports you can obtain.
Once the information is verified, we will promptly ship a replacement Portable Outlet CPAP Battery system to you anywhere in the continental United States.
Portable Outlet batteries will not be replaced due to wrongful or suspicious behavior or activities by the claimant. If the Portable Outlet is confiscated because airport or airline staff file a report that the claimant had their Portable Outlet confiscated because of suspicious or wrongful behavior of the claimant, the Portable Outlet battery may not be replaced.
